Allison and Jonathan loved the house they were in except that the street it was on was busier than they’d like considering their three young and adventurous children. So, they found a tiny lot with an even tinier old home on it that they planned to remove and fill with a new house and yard for their young, growing family. The lot is on an ideal neighborhood street – quiet from traffic but buzzing with children playing.

The design of the house maximizes the entire lot from side to side but leaves enough room in the back for a pool and small open area for gardening and playing. Much of the main level of the house has a very open feel but at the same time, creates slight separation of spaces so that there is less of a visual blur between activities in each space.

The very sleek, simple, modern home clad in brick will be built by JW Builders of which Jonathan is the owner! Within a year, Allison and Jonathan’s social and giving nature will be able to open their doors to large family and friend gatherings and open the windows to the delightful sound of children playing in the street.
